Hayley Orrantia (born in the year 1996) is an American performer, actress and songwriter. Many people recognize her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. She believes that she is an artist first and foremost. When she was nine years old older, she started playing around with music. By the time she reached age 12 she was taking the music seriously enough that she began professional training. In 2013, she took on songwriting and produced her debut album. From that point on, there's been no looking back. Orrantia is a native of America but with Hispanic ancestry. Despite the fact that she only spoke English growing up and had not been to Mexico Orrantia feels extremely happy with her Hispanic heritage. Her goal is to preserve it by creating Spanish songs, and also studying the language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," a song was recorded by her in Spanish. Orrantia was picked to perform for The X Factor's first season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia won the first season of the X Factor after she submitted an YouTube recording of her audition. She received the four "yes" votes by the judge on the live stage audition in Seattle. Her initial audition was in the show "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. Three other female vocalists as well as her were grouped together to perform for the remaining music. They were eliminated in the fifth week in the live show.
