Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam with Chinese ancestry while Winston Barrett Munn's family is origins deep within the American South. Her parents divorced at the age of the age of two. The mother of Olivia raised her and her stepfather, who is a United States Air Force officer. While the family left Oklahoma and lived in a variety of locations, she was mainly raised at Tokyo, Japan. In the years that followed, she appeared in various local theater productions, and then became a model for the Japanese fashion industry. Olivia was a model who moved with her family to Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actress, continued to work towards her goal after the family returned to America. Following a series of minor roles, Olivia found success in her first major role in the role of Mily Acua on the Hawaii television series Beyond the Break 2006 and the receptionist for Rob Schneider. She is the host of "The Daily Nut", "Formula D", and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Her passion for surfing is something she's continued since the 2006 TV series Beyond the Break. Additionally, she holds Black Belt in Taekwondo. In the year 2000, when she turned two years of age, her mom remarried. The family has moved several times, but she spent most of her childhood in Tokyo Japan since that was the place where her father worked. She completed her journalism studies at the University of Oklahoma and also minored Japanese, dramatic arts and drama.
