Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for the A-levels she took. As she discussed her Emmerdale character she expressed her regret at being unable to attend a college. Coleman worked with a group called In Yer Space at her school. The company presented Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. The show was awarded a prize to her for the presentation, while the show was received well. Coleman got the part as Jasmine Thomas while she was performing at drama school. The audition took place in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two Awards. At the British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, at the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of Most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, she received nominated in the two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who announced in a news event on 21st march 2012, that Coleman would be replacing Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat decided to cast her in the role as she had the most chemistry Smith. Additionally, she was faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her work in the business since 1987 and has been part of various TV shows and films. The most well-known of her roles was television. Eva has played a variety of TV characters, however Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boavistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The actress was nominated two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part in both shows, as well as getting the opportunity to express her artistic talents. Eva is not only acting, but she's an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She has been married three times with a daughter by her second spouse.
