Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. Her acting career began as a stage performer in the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage artist in a few Broadway plays before breaking through into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner's debut in 1957. The album was released by her too late for Tina the same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Big Acre, a drama from 1957. The film was a big hit and Louise got the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. As students in Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career effectively between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in somber roles against her perceived image of an attractive model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she also has made an impact as an accomplished director on various well-known television shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family relocated from Essex to Toronto, where she spent childhood and adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in Vancouver ever since.
