Lindsey Vonn is an American skier, born on October 18, 1984. In 2010, she retired after winning 4 World Cup races and the Olympic gold medal in downhill skis. Vonn is ranked second in the world for super scores amongst female or male skiers. She is one of the top skiers of all time as well as the most adored skiing athlete in the United States. Lindsey American World Cup alpine ski racer Caroline Vonn also known as Lindsey Vonn competes for the US Ski Team. She has won four times awarded the title of winner in the World Cup overall competition. It is a professional athlete who has made a name for herself in American society. She is among just six women to have triumphed in all five Alpine Skiing World Cup events. She has won 82 World Cups. After the World Championships in Sweden this year, one of the most talented and most skilled American ski racers will be retiring. Four-time World Cup overall champion decided to retire after suffering several health issues. The four-time World Cup overall champion has announced her retirement on social networking. Next week I'll compete in the final race of my career in the Downhill and SG World Championships in Re Sweden.
